This studio is perfect for a couple or single person looking for a basecamp in the 'centre ville' of Chamonix.

Résidence Les Balances is a charming building in the heart of Chamonix, set on the main pedestrian square surrounded by cobbled streets, historic statues, and traditional shops, bars, and restaurants. Studio Hors Piste is located on the third floor, accessible via the main staircase or a small central lift.

Inside the studio:

This cosy yet minimal studio is compact but well-designed for comfort. The open-plan kitchen is tucked to one side, separated from the sleeping area by a breakfast bar. The space includes:

large, original windows that let in plenty of natural light
small balcony with beautiful mountain views, overlooking the bustling streets, the main church, and Brévent ski slopes
shower room with WC and basin
large storage cupboard in the hallway

Great location:

If you love trail running, this is the perfect spot to watch the start and finish of major races like the Mont-Blanc Marathon and UTMB.

Getting around:

Being in the centre of town, transport is easy:

bus stops and train stations are just a short walk away
buses are free with a lift pass, or tickets can be bought online or onboard
guests receive a Carte d’Hôtes, offering free local train travel and discounts on the pool and museums
a night bus runs between Argentière and Les Houches for four euros per person

Useful info:

no private parking, but there is a large shared basement space for bike storage
the kitchen includes:
- kettle and Nespresso coffee machine
- under-counter fridge with freezer section
- new ceramic hob and mini oven
