Ideally located, the hotel has 45 spacious, well appointed bedrooms with great views of Mont Blanc and the Aiguilles Rouges mountains.

The "Pointe Is" (as it's know locally..) has an enviable location bang in the centre of town. Close to the train station, the Montenvers Mer de Glace departure point and the bustling centre of Chamonix; all the shops, bars and restaurants are right on your doorstep.

There is a range of accommodation choices available from standard single or twin/double bedrooms (some with inter-connecting doors), larger triple and quad rooms - perfect for families and superior rooms with Mont Blanc view. There is also a 54m2 suite on the top floor of the hotel with 2 ensuite bedrooms, a living room and its own sauna! All rooms have been thoughtfully decorated and have private ensuite facilities, flat-screen TV and free wifi.

The hotel also has a modern, bistrot style restaurant and bar with a comfy lounge seating area to relax in after dinner. Open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it is very popular with the hotel guests and Chamonix locals alike.

From Spring 2019, the hotel is undergoing an exciting new expansion programme to create 27 additional guest bedrooms, including a new suite, a large multi-use function room that will accommodate up to 65 people, a gym, a large ski room, bike storage and 9 indoor parking spaces.

An additional floor will be created on the roof of the existing hotel and a new extension block will be added on the back. All of the windows will be replaced for improved thermal and sound insulation and the old fuel heating system will be replaced with a gas one for reduced environmental impact.

The work will be carried out in several phases so as not to cause disruption to guests staying for the key holiday periods of the year. The hotel will be closed from 01/04/19 to 14/06/19 and from 16/09/19 to 13/12/19. The last phase of the work will be carried out from 30/03/20, before a grand re-opening in mid-June 2020.
