Although the French Para Olympic Ski Team are jetting off to compete in Vancouver in a few weeks, they have made time to get in a few practise runs at Les Planards this Saturday afternoon!

The French team, along with many other disabled skiers, will be taking part in the Challenge Sebastian Rung – an annual race in memory of a young ESF instructor who was killed in an avalanche several years ago. The Challenge Sebastian Rung is also a stage in the Handisport French Cup; skiers will be competing in 4 slalom events.

The competition is a family event with a great atmosphere, just a few minutes' walk from the centre of Chamonix. Races are taking place from 4pm to 9pm on Saturday 21st February and entry is free of charge.
