Easter traffic delays at Mont Blanc Tunnel

Queues were building up outside the Mont Blanc tunnel last night and early this morning with waiting times reaching up to 3 hours.

Despite Good Friday not being a bank holiday in France it seems that lots of people have started their Easter weekend early and are heading over for a mini-break in Italy.

Traffic predictions are that it should ease off by tomorrow as trucks are banned from the tunnel over Easter weekend but that delays may still be on the cards during the busiest times of Saturday morning and Monday evening.
