The Mont Blanc tunnel had to be temporarily closed last night after a landslide.

The slide occured in La Saxe at the Italian end of the tunnel, near Courmayeur.

Traffic was stopped between 23:30 to 01:30 as a precautionary measure, but has since re-started.

Take a look at the traffic cams if you want to see how the traffic is flowing at either end of the tunnel entrances, or the main autoroute webcam in Taconnaz.
