A new record for the Chamonix to Mont Blanc and back to Chamonix course has been set by 23 year old Mathéo Jacquemoud, with a time of 5 hours and 5 minutes.

The young athlete has paid tribute to the late Stephane Brosse who previously held the Mont Blanc ski mountaineering record of 5 hours 15 minutes.
Mathéo Jacquemoud not only beat the ski mountaineering record but also the record from Swiss mountaineer Pierre-Andre Gobet who finished the course in 5 hours and 11 minutes on foot.

The young French ski mountaineer had been in training with fellow record breaker Kilian Jornet recently and had even made an unsuccessful attempt at the record together, before Kilian set off to complete the Transvulcania race in the Canary Islands.

Congratulations to Team Crazy and Mathéo Jacquemoud for this new record.
