The national institution that is Ski Sunday is back this, err Sunday on BBC 2 television, with live coverage available on BBC Online and television using the red button of the World Cup skiing in Val d'Isere.

The duo of Ed Leigh and Graham Bell will once again be taking up the reins to present the programme, which will be broadcast on BBC 2 each Sunday during the winter season between 17:30 and 18:00. The first episode this week will see the presenters catching up with British hopes Chemmy Alcott and Zoe Gillings who hope to compete in alpine skiing and snowboarder cross events respectively at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

They will also catch up with the British bobsleigh and skeleton teams to see how training is going. Those with good memories will remember that Shelley Rudman brought home Team GBs only medal from the Turin Winter Olympics in 2006, after clinching silver medal in the women's skeleton event.

There will also be highlights of the men's world cup alpine skiing events in taking place over the weekend in Val d'Isere and Graham Bell will be right in the thick of the Espace Killy action to find out who are going to be the big names to watch in Vancouver.

Graham Bell also heads to Alpe d'Huez to try ski cross, the newest event to be added to the Winter Olympic programme whilst Ed Leigh checks out the ski jumping in Austria.

The following weekend will also feature highlights of the women's World Cup alpine skiing events at Val d'Isere due to take place in resort on the 18, 19 and 20 December.
