Spotted! Tiger Woods' wife hits the slopes in Chamonix

When your hubby admits to not one, but 14 affairs and the eyes of the world's media are on you, what's a young Swedish girl to do - apart from whacking his expensive 4x4 with a golf club that is? We suggest heading to the famous Swede hangout of Chamonix - and that's exactly what Elin Nordegren did this week.

The wife of golfing legend and serial adulterer Tiger Woods has been staying in a luxury chalet in Les Houches with her twin sister Josephin and five other friends in a bid to get away from it all. The party arrived at the chalet, which is said to cost £5,000 per night, last Sunday the 27th December to celebrate New Year.

Elin, who is a keen skier, headed out on to the slopes just once. To celebrate 2010, the whole group headed to luxury restaurant in Chamonix, surrounded by a French security team who has been hired to take care of the group whilst in resort. Meanwhile, Tiger Woods spent the festive period at home in Florida.

The Sun quotes a family friend of the 29 year old Swedish model and mother of Tiger's two children as saying : "Elin wanted to take her close family and friends away from the minefield Tiger has created by his behaviour. She has been absolutely torn to pieces by what he has done."

Sounds like nothing a good night of apres-ski at Chambre 9 wouldn't sort out to us...
