We have had superb conditions since the sun came out last weekend. Even though it is the busy family holiday season we managed to escape the crowds and found huge, empty powder fields of un-tracked snow above Le Tour and enjoyed one of the best days of the season so far.

As it's half term holiday the bars are not too busy and family activities are the order of the day. Our pick for the next few weeks is to join the ESF Argentiere on Tuesday nights for their torch-lit descent. For €2 you can carry a torch in the procession which skis down from the Grand Montets mid-station. It's a really cool event and we highly recommend it. Meet at the ESF office in the Cable car station at 5.15 and get the last bubble at 5.30 up the hill.
