Located right on the banks of the River L'Arve, this hotel dates back to the 18th century and used to be an old mill. With Mont Blanc as a backdrop, it's pink facade and iconic red telephone box out front is one of the most photographed buildings in Chamonix!
There are 26 spacious guest bedrooms in total, with views either over the town square and the Brévent or south facing towards Mont Blanc. All rooms have been designed with comfort in mind and are charmingly alpine in style. They all have ensuite facilities, satellite TV, wifi a safe, minibar and a small balcony. Some are slightly larger with a sofa bed that can accommodate an additional child or adult, and on the top floor, they have rooms with a mezzanine which can sleep 4-5 people.
Accommodation is offered on a room only basis but a substantial buffet breakfast is available for a small supplement.
The Bar
The hotel has a reputable bar called O’Byrnes Pub, which is located on the ground floor of the hotel. O’Byrnes Pub has a large terrace overlooking the river where you can relax in the summer and listen to the sound of the Arve River flowing by. The pub is open year-round until 02:00 and has a variety of beers on tap. During the winter months, they sometimes host live music for the “après ski” crowd!!
