An old mountain farmstead buvette above Les Houches

This old farmstead is now used as a buvette or snack stop for hikers in summer and can be found above Coupeau in Les Houches. 

They serve simple food like charcuterie, local cheese platters and home made pastries. You can also enjoy a fondue here but you must book this in advance. 

The refuge is run by guardian Agnes and new from summer 2017 you can now spend the night in a Tipi. The Tipi sleeps 4 people and costs from €30 per person including breakfast. 

The refuge is open from mid June to mid October, except in extreme weather.

Directions

You can reach this refuge on foot from La Flatiere (1340m) just above Coupeau. The walk takes approximately 1.5 hours.
