New Bus & Coach Terminus in Chamonix Sud
New stopping point for bus and coach transfers instead of Chamonix station
If you're in Chamonix at the moment you can't have failed to notice the massive amount of building work going on, along the main road leading the train station and in Chamonix Sud. These two particular bits of building work will affect passengers previously dropped off at the station or arriving by train.
At the end of this month, passengers arriving by train will need to catch the Mulet bus (which runs every 20 minutes) to Chamonix Sud, from where they can pick up taxis, connecting buses in the Valley and further afield.
Buses operated by SAT, SAVDA, and scheduled bus services such as Alpybus, EasbyBus, SwissTour and Euroline will stop in Chamonix Sud & not the train station. Buses used to replace trains will still arrive at the station.
Co-ordination of the site will be by Mont Blanc Bus and the full transition is expected at the end of this month.
The area around Chamonix train station and the roundabout there has been deemed too small to deal with the traffic, so the decision was made to move to Cham Sud.
The new terminus is opposite the Aiglons hotel and the existing parking area and Cham Sud bus stops.
