Opening of New American Style Bistro in Cham Sud
Yesterday saw the opening of the Bighorn Bistro & Bakery
The Bighorn buffet allowed guests to sample the style of food, see the new layout and décor and or course sample the beverages that they will have on offer.
A selection of American style delicious titbits were served. Which were disappearing as quickly as they were being brought out of the kitchen, which can only be a good sign. I did manage to get my hands on a mini burger, and as you would expect from an American style restaurant, it was packed with everything (in miniature of course). The chicken skewers with satay sauce were excellent, a good bit of spice to the sauce which is a rare thing in France. I was told that the ribs were incredible as well, but I didn’t get a chance myself to try, along with other delights on offer which I’m not even sure what they were.
They did have an 8% pale ale on offer, which I did get to try. It is nice to have a variation on lager and it did go down very easily from the soda can style glass, more than a demi but less than a pint. They also had a Brooklyn larger on tap and a selection of wines.
They have released their menu on their facebook page for breakfast lunch and dinner. They will be open from 7:00 in the morning all the way through until 22:30, and then 7:00 until 15:00 on Sundays. This Sunday they are joint hosting the Cham Sud Festival for the Fete de Musique and kicking things off with a bang.
