Tré-la-Tête refuge (1970m), Massif du Mont-Blanc

Friendly atmosphere and home cooked traditional Savoyard style food

featured in Mountain Huts Updated

Open and guarded from the late March until the end of September, this is a very popular refuge for spring ski tourers and summer hikers.

Located to the south of Mont Blanc and close to the Tré-la-Tête glacier, this refuge sits in the heart of the nature reserve of Les Contamines. It's a great starting point for many hiking trails as well as a base for some well known ski tours in the Mont Blanc and Contamines-Montjoie area.

Accommodation is available on a half-board basis only, either in a large dormitory for up to 30 people or in a smaller 2-5 bed private room. All guests have access to indoor toilets and hot water.

The food is traditional Savoyard cuisine, made from fresh local ingredients where possible. A lunch menu is available to guests and passing hikers.

Please contact the refuge directly for this season's prices and opening and closing dates.
