La Folie Douce Hotel

Concept hotel with restaurants, après-ski, live shows & spa, at foot of pistes

featured in Hotels

La Folie Douce opened in 1980 and quickly became THE place to be for après-ski on the slopes. This is thanks to their unique combination of live music, DJs, dancers and performers. Following the bar's success in Val d'Isere, Val Thorens, Meribel, Alpe d'Huez and Megeve, they launched their first Hotel in Chamonix in 2019!

Offering a variety of different rooms & suites, you can experience La Folie Douce no matter what your budget is.

Premium rooms: these are spacious double & triple rooms, or family suites, with designer furniture and elegant bathrooms. Room service and spa access are included.

Access Rooms: these comfortable rooms can accommodate 2 to 6 people and are a great option for families or groups of friends. Access to the spa is available at an extra charge.

Hostel-style rooms: meet people from all walks of life who share your love for La Folie Douce! These are shared rooms where you can enjoy a friendly experience without compromising on comfort. All of the shared rooms are equipped with a bathroom and separate toilet. Access to the spa is available at an extra charge. This option is great for solo travellers or those on a tight budget. There are also female-only rooms.

Worth knowing

This hotel also has a Kids' Palace offering fun and exciting childcare activities for children from 4 to 12 years old. This runs between 08:30 - 21:00.

The Bar

What you will find here is the very best entertainment. The party starts at 16:00 when DJs, singers, dancers and musicians take the crowd on an après-ski adventure of total Folie. The whole show, somewhere between cabaret and street theatre with singers, big-screen projections and top class light shows, allows all generations to enjoy some Folie fun together.

If you fancy something a bit quieter then head to Le Janssen Cocktail Club where you can enjoy a glass of wine or one of their delicious cocktails from 10:00 - 01:00.

The Restaurant

With four restaurants and a cafe to choose from, you're spoiled for choice!

La Petite Cuisine - an open plan restaurant where you can watch the chef and his team at work. Serving a mix of modern and traditional dishes, there is something for everyone.

La Fruitiere - an elegant gourmet restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. The chef, Franck Mischler, is passionate about his work and uses locally sourced produce wherever possible to create regional dishes and Savoyard specialties.

Le Mayen - tradition meets culinary boldness! Alpine cows have a lot to offer and the chef knows this! Enjoy traditional alpine food with a modern twist.

La Piazza - an Italian restaurant serving homemade pizzas.

Le Kiosque Cafe - a cafe serving fresh sandwiches, energy bars and hot drinks.

If you opt for the half board option then your meals will be served in La Petite Cuisine. You can also choose to eat in a different restaurant every day for an additional supplement.

Sports & Relaxation

Choosing to do nothing and just relax is also an option at La Folie Douce Hotels. The Feel Good Club Sports & Spa consists of an 18-metre heated outdoor swimming pool, saunas, a steam room, a relaxation room and a sun terrace, as well as eight massage cabins, for individual or duo treatments.

The team offers treatments and massages suited to mountain activities, as well as signature treatments designed to regenerate you.

Fitness and Yoga Detox

If the outdoor activities aren't enough for you, there is also a fully equipped gym and detox yoga classes provided by YUJ Studio teachers.
